As 50% of the cavaliers have a heart-condition, it is advisable to do an echo-doppler test.

At the moment 200 dogs are tested through M.R.I. scan for syringomeylia. 50-70% more or less suffer from this condition. It is advisable to mate free dogs with light affected dogs. For this you have to know if your dog suffers from this condition.

Finally you also have to check your dogs patella. This can be done at your own vet.
